Solaria

  • What is Solaria CO2 by INMODE?

InMode Solaria CO2 is a next-generation fractional ablative CO₂ laser for skin resurfacing. It combines CO₂ energy with RF technology to precisely treat damaged skin layers while stimulating collagen production. It addresses fine lines, wrinkles, acne/surgical scars, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture, enlarged pores, and mild skin laxity, with faster healing than traditional CO₂ lasers.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect during Solaria treatment?

Most patients find the treatment tolerable with proper numbing. We provide a topical numbing cream (often for 30–60+ minutes) before the procedure. Pronox nitrous gas mix is also available to minimize discomfort. There is also a new oral nonopioid medication available to take before the procedure to minimize pain.

    • During treatment: Expect a warm, tingling, or "sparkler-like" sensation, or quick, hot snaps/prickling (like rubber-band flicks with warmth). It’s not painless but generally well-tolerated. Sessions last 30–90 minutes depending on the area.
    • Right after: Skin feels warm, tight, or like a mild-to-moderate sunburn. Redness and some swelling (especially around the eyes) are common in the first hours/days. Discomfort peaks early but eases quickly with cooling and post-care ointments.

Overall, it's more comfortable than many traditional CO₂ lasers due to fractional delivery and built-in comfort features.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol?

Downtime is customizable and typically shorter than classic CO₂ (often marketed as "minimal" or "faster healing").

    • Typical downtime: 3–7 days for mild/moderate treatments (redness, swelling, mild peeling). Deeper treatments may involve 5–14 days, with 1–2 weeks of social downtime recommended. Many return to normal activities within a week, though skin may stay pink for a bit longer.

    Day-by-day overview (varies by intensity):

    • Day 1: Warmth, redness, tightness, possible swelling. Skin may feel sensitive or shiny.
    • Days 2–3: Peak redness/swelling; mild peeling may start.
    • Days 4–7: Peeling/flaking (do not pick!), skin renews. Redness fades.
    • Weeks 2+: Continued improvement as collagen builds (full results in 1–3 months).

Post-care protocol (always follow your provider’s specific instructions):

    • Gentle cleansing with fragrance-free products.
    • Apply prescribed healing ointments/moisturizers (e.g., barrier creams) frequently.
    • Strict sun avoidance (7–10+ days) + broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily afterward.
    • Avoid retinoids, acids, exfoliants, heat, exercise, and picking for at least 5–10 days (or as directed).
    • Stay hydrated; use ice/cooling as needed for comfort.
    • No makeup until cleared (usually after initial healing).

Healing is faster due to the fractional nature (untreated tissue speeds recovery).

  • What is the cost?

This varies widely by treatment area, depth/intensity, and whether it's a single session or package. A single face session typically costs: $749

We offer packages, financing and specials. A consultation is essential for a personalized quote—deeper resurfacing or larger areas cost more. Maintenance sessions (if needed) add to long-term cost.

  • Who is an ideal candidate?

Good candidates are generally healthy adults seeking noticeable improvement in skin quality without surgery. It suits a wide range of skin types (though darker tones require careful settings to minimize risks).

    Best for those with:

    • Fine lines, wrinkles, or mild laxity.
    • Acne scars, surgical/trauma scars.
    • Sun damage, age spots, hyperpigmentation.
    • Rough texture, enlarged pores, dullness.

    Important considerations:

    • Realistic expectations (results improve over months).
    • Willing to follow downtime and sun protection.
    • No active skin infections, certain medical conditions, or recent isotretinoin use (consult provider).
    • Best in fall/winter to avoid sun exposure.

Not ideal for very deep wrinkles (may need multiple sessions or combination therapies) or those unable to commit to recovery.

  • How long does Solaria CO2 last?

Results are long-lasting because the treatment stimulates new collagen and elastin production, which continues for months.

    • Timeline: Initial improvements visible in 4–6 weeks; optimal results in 3–6 months as collagen remodels.
    • Duration: Many see benefits for several years (often 5+ years reported with fractional CO₂), especially with good skincare, sun protection, and healthy habits. Skin continues aging naturally, so results aren't permanent.
    • Maintenance: Some opt for touch-ups every 1–2 years or combine with other treatments for longevity.

Individual results depend on age, skin condition, lifestyle, and sun exposure.

  • Are all consultations free?

Yes, we offer complimentary consultations for all our services at Advanced Aesthetics USA.
  • Are appointments required?

Yes, scheduling an appointment is necessary for all services at our med spa.
  • Is it recommended to talk a doctor prior to starting weight loss medication?

Yes, consulting with a physician is recommended before beginning any weight loss medication regimen. For your convenience, we have a doctor available on-site who can provide professional guidance to help you achieve your desired outcomes.

IPL

  • What is IPL?

Lumecca IPL by InMode is an advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) device. It uses high-peak-power light pulses (optimized in the 500–600 nm range) to target melanin (pigment) and hemoglobin (redness/vessels) more effectively than traditional IPLs. This allows visible results in fewer sessions (often 1–3 vs. 4–6).

  • What level of discomfort to expect during IPL treatment?

Lumecca is generally very comfortable and is often described as one of the more tolerable IPL options due to its built-in sapphire cooling tip.

    • During treatment: You’ll feel quick flashes of bright light and a mild “snap” or “elastic band” sensation with warmth. Topical numbing cream and ultrasound gel are commonly applied beforehand. Sessions last 15–45 minutes (full face can be as quick as 8–10 minutes with large spot size).
    • Right after: Mild redness and warmth (like a light sunburn) that usually fades within 30–60 minutes to a few hours. Most patients report minimal to no pain.

Overall, it’s designed for high comfort with cooling technology minimizing heat buildup.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol?

Minimal to no social downtime — often called a “lunchtime” procedure. Many return to activities immediately, though skin may look slightly flushed.

    Typical timeline:

    • Immediate (Day 0): Mild redness/warmth (subsides in 1–few hours).
    • Days 1–2: Possible darkening of pigmented spots (“coffee grounds” effect).
    • Days 3–7/10: Dark spots flake off naturally; skin brightens. Mild sensitivity or roughness may occur.
    • Beyond: Continued improvement as collagen is stimulated.

    Post-care protocol (follow provider instructions):

    • Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ (or higher) daily and avoid direct sun/tanning for at least 1–3 weeks.
    • Use gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and soothing products (e.g., aloe or prescribed creams). Avoid retinoids, acids, exfoliants, and harsh products for ~1 week.
    • No picking or scrubbing flaking spots — let them resolve.
    • Makeup can usually be applied right away if the skin is intact.
    • Avoid heat (saunas, intense exercise) for 24–48 hours.

Healing is fast due to the non-ablative nature.

  • What is the cost?

Costs vary significantly by treatment area and package deals. Lumecca is a premium product but is often more cost-effective long-term because fewer sessions are needed.

IPL treatment to the face & neck typically costs: $599

  • Who is an ideal candidate for IPL?

Good candidates are adults with visible pigmentation, redness, or sun damage seeking non-invasive improvement with little downtime. It works best on Fitzpatrick skin types I–III (fair to olive tones); darker skin types require caution and customized settings to avoid risks.

    Best for:

    • Sun spots, age spots, freckles, hyperpigmentation.
    • Rosacea, facial redness, broken capillaries/spider veins.
    • Uneven skin tone, dullness, mild photoaging.
    • Face, neck, chest (décolleté), hands, arms.

    Key considerations:

    • Realistic expectations and commitment to sun protection.
    • No active infections, recent tanning/sunburn, or certain medications (e.g., photosensitizing drugs).
    • Not ideal for very deep wrinkles/scars (better suited for pigment/vascular issues) or those with very dark skin without expert evaluation.

Consultation is essential for skin assessment.

  • How long does IPL last?

Results are noticeable quickly and can be long-lasting with maintenance and good habits, though not permanent as skin continues to age and face sun exposure.

    • Timeline: Initial brightening in days to 1–2 weeks (as pigment flakes). Optimal results in 2–4+ weeks per session, with full benefits after a series.
    • Duration: Improvements often last 6–12+ months or longer with proper skincare and sun avoidance. Many maintain with 1 annual touch-up.
    • Collagen stimulation provides ongoing texture/brightness benefits.

Lifestyle (SPF, avoiding sun damage) is key to prolonging results.

Morpheus8

  • What is Inmode Morpheus8?

InMode Morpheus8 is a fractional radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device. It combines ultrafine needles with RF energy delivered at customizable depths (up to 7 to 8 mm on body settings) to remodel collagen, tighten skin, reduce fat in some areas, and improve texture. It treats face, neck, and body for concerns like laxity, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, and uneven tone.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect during Morpheus8 treatment?

Morpheus8 is generally well-tolerated with proper numbing, though it involves more sensation than non-needle treatments due to the microneedling component.

    • During treatment: We apply a strong topical numbing cream (30–45+ minutes). You may feel pressure, prickling, warmth, or mild heat as the device stamps and delivers RF energy. We also offer Pro-Nox (nitrous oxide) for extra comfort. There is also a newly available nonopioid oral medication to take prior to the treatment. Sessions last 30–60+ minutes depending on the area. Most describe it as tolerable rather than painful.
    • Right after: Skin feels warm, tight, or like a moderate sunburn with redness and possible swelling (especially face/eyes). Discomfort is usually mild and managed with cooling and over-the-counter relief.

Comfort is enhanced by adjustable settings and numbing protocols.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol?

Downtime is minimal to moderate and customizable based on depth/intensity — often 1–3 days of visible redness for lighter treatments, up to 5–7 days for deeper ones. Many return to work/social activities within 2–3 days.

    Typical timeline (varies):

    • Day 0–2/3: Redness, swelling, warmth, pinpoint marks, or a sunburn-like sensation. Swelling peaks early.
    • Days 3–7: Possible dryness, flaking, or rough texture as skin renews. Redness fades.
    • Week 1+: Skin improves; full collagen results build over 1–3 months.

    Post-care protocol:

    • Gentle cleansing and prescribed healing balms/moisturizers. Keep skin hydrated.
    • Strict sun avoidance (1–2 weeks minimum) + broad-spectrum SPF 30+ (mineral preferred) daily afterward.
    • Avoid retinoids, acids, exfoliants, makeup (usually 24–72 hours), heat/exercise/saunas (24–72 hours), and picking.
    • Use cold compresses for comfort/swelling; sleep elevated if needed.
    • No active skin products until cleared.

Healing is faster than with ablative lasers because it's fractional.

  • What is the cost?

Costs vary widely by treatment area/size, depth, and number of sessions (most patients need 2–3 for best results). This is a premium treatment, so expect investment-level pricing.

A face treatment typically costs: $799

Packages, financing and specials are available.

  • Who is an ideal candidate for Morpheus8?

Broad suitability — safe for most skin types and tones (including darker skin with proper settings). Good candidates are healthy adults seeking non-surgical improvement in skin quality and contour.

    Best for:

    • Mild to moderate skin laxity (jowls, neck, abdomen, etc.).
    • Fine lines, wrinkles, and texture issues.
    • Acne scars, stretch marks, or surgical scars.
    • Uneven tone, enlarged pores, or mild fat remodeling (face/body).

    Key considerations:

    • Realistic expectations (results build gradually).
    • Commitment to post-care and sun protection.
    • No active infections, certain skin conditions, or recent isotretinoin (consult provider).
    • Ages typically 30s–50s+, but suitable for 18+ for specific concerns.

Not ideal for severe laxity (may need surgery) or those unable to tolerate downtime.

  • How long does Morpheus8 last?

Results are long-lasting due to deep collagen and elastin remodeling, but not permanent as natural aging continues.

    • Timeline: Initial glow/tightening in 1–2 weeks; noticeable improvements in 4–8 weeks; peak results at 3–6 months.
    • Duration: Typically 12–24 months (often cited as 1–3 years) with good skincare and sun protection. Many maintain with annual touch-ups.

DIOLAZE

  • What is INMODE Diolaze?

InMode Diolaze (often called DiolazeXL) is a high-powered diode laser (810 nm wavelength) designed for laser hair removal. It features a large spot size for faster treatments and a built-in sapphire cooling tip for enhanced comfort and safety across various skin types.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect during treatment?

Diolaze is widely regarded as one of the more comfortable laser hair removal options due to its large cooling surface, which cools the skin before, during, and after each pulse.

    • What to expect: Most patients describe a mild warm snap, tingling, or rubber-band-like sensation that is brief and tolerable. Sensitive areas (bikini, upper lip, underarms) may feel slightly more intense, but the cooling significantly reduces discomfort. Many call it “virtually painless” or much less painful than waxing.

Discomfort level is generally low to moderate and highly manageable.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol?

Minimal to no downtime — often called a “lunchtime” treatment. You can usually resume normal activities immediately.

    Typical timeline:

    • Immediate: Mild redness, warmth, or slight swelling (like a mild sunburn) that typically fades within a few hours to 1–2 days.
    • Days 1–3: Possible mild tenderness or follicular edema. Shedding of treated hairs begins in 1–3 weeks.
    • Beyond: Skin returns to normal quickly; no peeling or significant recovery.

Post-care protocol (follow your provider’s specific instructions):

    • Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily and avoid direct sun/tanning for 1–3 weeks (critical to prevent pigmentation issues).
    • Use gentle moisturizers or aloe for soothing; avoid hot showers, saunas, vigorous exercise, and heat for 24–48 hours.
    • No waxing, plucking, or tweezing between sessions — shave only if needed.
    • Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, or harsh products on treated areas for a few days.
    • Do not pick or scratch the skin.
  • What is the cost?

Costs vary by treatment area size and whether you buy single sessions or packages (packages are strongly recommended for value). Diolaze is premium technology, but a larger spot size can make sessions more efficient.

    • Small areas (upper lip, chin, underarms): $375
    • Large areas (Legs): $900

We offer specials and financing. A consultation is essential for an accurate, personalized quote, as pricing depends heavily on the areas treated and your specific needs. This is usually the biggest ongoing investment, but long-term savings vs. waxing/shaving can be substantial.

  • Who is an ideal candidate for InMode Diolaze?

Good candidates are individuals seeking long-term reduction of unwanted hair on the face or body. Diolaze works best on darker hair (brown/black) with sufficient melanin contrast against the skin. It is safe for a wide range of skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–IV or broader with proper settings).

    Best for:

    • Those tired of shaving, waxing, or ingrown hairs/razor bumps.
    • Areas like legs, bikini, underarms, face, arms, back, chest.
    • Men and women of various ages.

    Key considerations:

    • Not ideal for very light/blonde/gray/white hair (lacks pigment to target) or very tanned/dark skin without expert evaluation.
    • Not for pregnant individuals or those with certain skin conditions/active infections.
    • Best results require commitment to a series of sessions (typically 4–8, spaced 4–8 weeks apart depending on the area).

Consultation with patch testing ensures safety and efficacy.

  • How long does Diolayze last?

Diolaze provides long-term hair reduction, not always 100% permanent removal, as some hair may regrow finer and sparser over time.

    • Timeline: Noticeable reduction after 2–3 sessions; optimal results after 4–6+ sessions. Shedding occurs over weeks following each treatment.
    • Duration: Many achieve 70–90%+ permanent reduction lasting years. Maintenance sessions (1–2 per year) may be needed due to hormonal changes, new hair growth cycles, or aging.

Results vary by hair type, skin tone, hormones, and adherence to the treatment schedule. Consistent sun protection helps maintain skin health.

Evolve Transform

  • What is Evolve Transform?

InMode Evolve Transform (part of the EvolveX platform) is a hands-free, non-invasive body contouring treatment. It combines bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy for fat reduction and skin tightening with electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) for muscle toning — all in one session. It targets areas like the abdomen, flanks, thighs, buttocks, and arms for a sculpted look without surgery.

  • What is the level of discomfort during treatment?

Most patients find Evolve Transform comfortable, often describing it as tolerable or even relaxing.

    • What to expect: A combination of gentle to moderate warming sensation (like a heating pad or hot stone massage) from the RF energy and strong but rhythmic muscle contractions from the EMS (similar to an intense workout or electrical muscle stimulator). Providers continuously monitor temperature and can adjust settings in real time for comfort.
    • Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes per area. Many patients read, relax, or even doze off. No needles or anesthesia are required, though some clinics offer additional comfort options if needed.

Overall discomfort level is low (often rated 1–3/10), much milder than invasive procedures.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol?

No downtime — it’s a true “lunchtime” procedure. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

    Typical experience:

    • Immediate: Mild redness, warmth, or slight swelling in the treated area (like after a deep massage). This usually subsides within a few hours to 1–2 days.
    • Days 1–3: Possible mild tenderness or tingling. No significant bruising, peeling, or restrictions for most people.
    • Full results build over weeks as fat cells are processed and collagen/muscle remodel.

Post-care protocol (follow your provider’s instructions):

    • Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet/active lifestyle to support results.
    • Apply SPF and avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot tubs) for 24–48 hours if advised.
    • Gentle moisturizing if skin feels dry; no harsh products needed.
    • Light activity is encouraged, but some recommend avoiding very intense workouts for 1–2 days.
    • No special garments or downtime restrictions in most cases.
  • What is the cost?

Costs vary by location, number of areas treated, and package size. Evolve Transform is premium technology, so packages deliver the best value (most patients need a series of 6+ sessions).

    Typical US ranges (2025–2026):

    • Package of 6 sessions (one area): $2475

We offer complimentary treatment to our members, financing, and sometimes seasonal specials.

  • Who is an ideal candidate?

Ideal candidates are adults close to their goal weight (generally BMI under 30) with stubborn fat pockets, mild-to-moderate skin laxity, or a desire for better muscle definition who want non-surgical improvement.

    Best for:

    • Localized fat (abdomen, love handles, thighs, arms, buttocks).
    • Loose or sagging skin (post-pregnancy, weight loss, aging).
    • Wanting muscle toning without heavy gym time.
    • Healthy lifestyle with realistic expectations.
    • Tightening of muscle and skin during weight loss

    Not ideal for:

    • Significant weight loss is needed (this is not a weight-loss treatment), but it may help tighten areas during weight loss.
    • Very high BMI or large-volume fat reduction (better suited for liposuction).
    • Pregnancy, certain medical implants (e.g., pacemakers), or active skin issues in the treatment area.

A consultation assesses suitability and customizes Tite/Trim/Tone/Transform modes.

  • How long will it last?

Results are long-lasting but not permanent, as natural aging, weight fluctuations, and lifestyle affect outcomes. Fat reduction can be permanent in treated cells, while skin tightening and muscle tone require maintenance.

    • Timeline: Noticeable improvements after 2–4 sessions; optimal results 2–3 months after completing a series (as fat clears and collagen builds).
    • Duration: Many see benefits for 6–24+ months or longer with stable weight, a healthy diet, exercise, and good skincare. Muscle tone may fade faster without activity (similar to gym results).
    • Maintenance: Periodic touch-up sessions (every 6–12 months) help sustain results.

PRF Dermal Filler

  • What is PRF filler (Ezgel)?

PRF filler (also called EZ Gel or PRF EZ Gel) is a 100% autologous (from your own body) bio-filler made from your blood. A small amount of blood is drawn, processed via centrifugation to create Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), then combined with albumin (a blood protein) and subjected to a controlled heating/cooling process. This forms a smooth, gel-like substance that can be injected.

It provides immediate volume (like a natural filler) while releasing growth factors over time to stimulate collagen, elastin, and tissue regeneration. It's positioned as a natural alternative to synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, with lower risk of allergic reactions or migration, and is commonly used for under-eyes (tear troughs), nasolabial folds, cheeks, lips, and overall skin rejuvenation.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect with PRF filler?

Most patients report minimal to mild discomfort. Topical numbing cream or local anesthetic can be applied beforehand. Injections are often done with a cannula (blunt tip) to reduce trauma. Some describe pressure or a slight stinging/burning sensation during injection.

Post-injection, the area may feel firm or slightly tender for a few days (especially under the eyes), but this is generally manageable with acetaminophen. Individual pain tolerance varies—some feel almost nothing, while others find it more uncomfortable.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol like?

Downtime is minimal compared to many procedures. You can usually return to normal activities the same day, but expect:

    • Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising (common under the eyes) that typically resolves in 1–3 days (up to a week in some cases).
    • Immediate fullness that may last a few days before settling.

    Post-care protocol (general guidelines—follow your provider's instructions):

    • Avoid touching/rubbing the area for at least 8–24 hours.
    • No makeup for 24 hours.
    • Avoid strenuous exercise, heat (saunas, hot yoga), alcohol, and blood thinners for 24–48 hours (or up to a few days).
    • Sleep with your head elevated the first night.
    • Use ice gently (no direct pressure) and acetaminophen for discomfort.
    • Gentle skincare; avoid harsh actives (retinoids, acids) for a few days.
  • Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Good candidates are generally healthy adults with mild to moderate volume loss, fine lines, hollows (e.g., under eyes), or skin quality concerns who prefer a natural approach. Ideal for those wanting gradual, regenerative results rather than dramatic instant volume. You should have good platelet counts and realistic expectations (multiple sessions often needed).

Not ideal for: Severe volume loss (may need traditional fillers), blood disorders, active infections, certain medications (e.g., strong blood thinners), or those seeking immediate, high-volume correction. Consult a qualified provider for assessment.

  • What is the cost of this treatment?

Costs vary by area treated and amount used. We offer packages (e.g., 3 sessions) and other discounts. One treatment is typically: $490

  • How long do I expect results to last?

    • Immediate volume from the gel lasts ~3–6 months.
    • Regenerative benefits (collagen stimulation, improved skin quality/texture) develop over weeks to months and can last 6–12 months overall.
    • Many recommend an initial series of 2–3 treatments (spaced 4–8 weeks apart) for best results, followed by maintenance every 6–12 months. Longevity depends on age, lifestyle, metabolism, and treatment area.

Results are subtler and more natural than traditional fillers.

Microneedling

  • What is microneedling?

Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy or percutaneous collagen induction) is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. A handheld device with tiny, sterile needles creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin's surface. This triggers the body's natural healing response, stimulating production of collagen and elastin for improved skin texture, firmness, and tone.

It is commonly used for acne scars, fine lines/wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven texture/tone, stretch marks, and mild skin laxity. It can be done alone or combined with serums, PRP (platelet-rich plasma), PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) or exosomes. Treatments typically take 30–60 minutes.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect with microneedling?

Most patients describe it as mild to moderate discomfort rather than sharp pain (typically 2–5/10 on a pain scale with numbing). Topical numbing cream is usually applied for 20–45 minutes beforehand, reducing sensation to pressure, scratching, vibration, or light pinpricks. We also offer Pro-Nox (nitrous oxide) for extra comfort. There is also a newly available nonopioid oral medication to take before the treatment.

Deeper treatments or sensitive areas (e.g., around eyes, upper lip, bony areas) may feel more intense. Post-treatment, skin often feels like a mild sunburn (tight, warm, sensitive) for 24–48 hours. Individual tolerance varies.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol like?

Downtime is generally minimal to moderate — most people return to normal activities within 1–2 days, though skin may look pink/red. Full visible recovery usually takes 3–7 days.

Typical side effects: Redness, mild swelling, tightness, dryness, flaking/peeling (peaks in the first 48 hours). Bruising is possible but less common.

Post-care protocol (always follow your provider’s specific instructions):

    • First 24 hours: Gentle cleansing with cool water/mild cleanser; no makeup, harsh products, or touching the face.
    • Days 1–5: Use recommended healing serums/moisturizers (e.g., hyaluronic acid); apply broad-spectrum mineral SPF 30+ daily (reapply often); avoid retinoids, acids, exfoliants, alcohol, strenuous exercise, saunas, and direct sun.
    • Ice packs (wrapped) and acetaminophen can help with discomfort. Sleep elevated.
    • Avoid anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen if possible (they may blunt collagen response).
    • Full skincare routine usually resumes after 5–7 days.
  • Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Good candidates are healthy adults of most ages and all skin types/tones (including darker skin, as it has a lower risk of pigmentation issues than some lasers). Ideal for those with mild-to-moderate concerns like acne scars, fine lines, dullness, enlarged pores, or uneven texture who want gradual, natural-looking improvement.

Not ideal for: Active acne/infections, open wounds, certain skin diseases (e.g., eczema/psoriasis in the treatment area), history of keloid scarring, blood disorders, pregnancy, or those on certain medications (e.g., isotretinoin). Severe concerns may need other treatments. A consultation is essential.

  • What is the cost of this treatment?

Packages of 3–6 sessions (recommended for best results). Prices vary by topicals used, add-ons like PRP, PRF, and Exosomes. Discounts are available with packages. A typical face session cost: $449

  • How long do I expect results to last?

    • Initial improvements (glow, texture) appear in 1–4 weeks.
    • Full collagen benefits peak at 3–6 months.
    • Results from a series typically last 6–12 months (sometimes up to 18 months with RF versions), depending on age, lifestyle, skin condition, and maintenance.
    • Most people benefit from an initial series of 3–6 sessions (spaced 4–6 weeks apart), then maintenance every 6–12 months.

Results are cumulative and natural but not permanent, as skin continues to age.

PRF/ PRP/ Exosome Therapies

  • What are PRF/PRP/Exosome therapies?

    • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Autologous (from your own blood). Blood is drawn, centrifuged to concentrate platelets and growth factors, then injected or applied (often with microneedling). It provides a quick release of growth factors to promote healing and collagen.
    • PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin): An advanced form of PRP. Processed at lower centrifuge speeds without anticoagulants, preserving more platelets, white blood cells, stem cells, and fibrin. This creates a scaffold for slower, more sustained growth factor release (over days), often leading to better or longer-lasting results than standard PRP.
    • Exosomes: Tiny extracellular vesicles (messengers) derived from stem cells (often donor or lab-cultured, sometimes plant-based). They carry proteins, RNA, cytokines, and growth factors for potent cell-to-cell communication, reducing inflammation and enhancing regeneration. No blood draw needed. They can be used alone or to boost PRP/PRF.

Key Differences: PRP/PRF use your own blood (autologous, lower rejection risk). Exosomes are acellular, potentially more potent and standardized, but from external sources. Combinations (e.g., PRF + exosomes) are common for enhanced effects.

These are often applied via injections, microneedling, or topically after procedures like lasers.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect?

Discomfort is generally mild to moderate and well-tolerated:

    • Topical numbing cream is standard.
    • PRP/PRF: Blood draw (like a regular blood test) plus injections or microneedling (prickling or pressure sensation). Some describe it as tolerable discomfort.
    • Exosomes: Often less invasive (no blood draw); mainly the application/injection part feels like mild prickling.
    • Post-procedure: Tenderness, redness, or swelling is common but short-lived. Pain meds like acetaminophen are recommended; avoid NSAIDs as they can interfere with healing.

Most patients rate it as manageable, especially with numbing.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol like?

Downtime is minimal (typically 24-72 hours of social downtime):

    • Immediate (Day 0-1): Redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness at sites. For facial treatments, avoid washing for several hours (especially with exosomes).
    • Days 1-3: Mild swelling/bruising peaks then subsides. Use ice, gentle cleansing, and moisturizer. Avoid makeup, sun, heat, exercise, and saunas.
    • Days 3-7: Skin heals; continue gentle skincare (fragrance-free, ceramide-rich). Avoid harsh products (retinoids, exfoliants), alcohol, smoking, and NSAIDs.
    • Ongoing: Sun protection (SPF 30+), hydration, and healthy lifestyle support results. Full healing and visible improvements build over weeks to months.

PRF may cause slightly more initial swelling due to the fibrin matrix. Exosomes often promote faster calming of inflammation. Follow your provider’s specific instructions, as protocols vary by area (face, scalp, joints).

  • Who is a good candidate?

Good candidates generally include healthy adults with:

    • Mild to moderate skin aging (wrinkles, texture, elasticity), acne scars, or dullness.
    • Hair thinning (especially early-stage, non-scarring alopecia) where follicles are still present.
    • Joint/musculoskeletal issues or wounds needing regeneration.
    • Desire for natural, minimally invasive options.

    Best for:

    • PRP/PRF: Those preferring autologous treatments; good overall health with adequate platelet function.
    • Exosomes: Patients unresponsive to PRP, seeking potentially stronger/faster results, or avoiding blood draws.
    • Combinations for enhanced outcomes.

    Not ideal:

    • Active infections, certain blood disorders, anticoagulant use (for PRP/PRF), pregnancy, severe scarring alopecia, or unrealistic expectations.
    • Consult a qualified provider for screening.
  • What is the cost?

Costs vary widely by location, provider, area treated, and number of sessions (US figures; Richmond, VA may differ—check locally):

    • PRP/PRF/Exosomes: Typically $839 per session (face/hair); packages and discounts available.

Multiple sessions (3–4 initially) are typical, plus maintenance.

  • How long do results last?

Results are gradual (visible in weeks to months as collagen/hair cycles respond) and not permanent—maintenance helps:

    • PRP: 6–12 months; maintenance every 6–12 months.
    • PRF: Often 9–15+ months due to sustained release.
    • Exosomes: Potentially 12–18+ months; faster onset and possibly longer due to potency (research ongoing).

Factors like age, lifestyle, severity of the issue, and combination therapies affect longevity. Many see ongoing improvement for 3–6+ months post-treatment.

Important Notes: These are medical procedures—results vary. Seek experienced, licensed providers (dermatologists, plastic surgeons, regenerative specialists). Evidence is promising but varies by application; exosomes are newer/emerging. Always get a personalized consultation, especially in Richmond, VA. This is general info, not medical advice.

Allergan Juvederm Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

  • What are Allergan Juvederm Hyaluronic Acid Fillers?

Juvederm (by Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company) is the #1 chosen dermal filler collection in the US. It includes several FDA-approved products (e.g., Voluma XC, Vollure XC, Volbella XC, Ultra XC, Ultra Plus XC, Volux XC) formulated with different gel consistencies using technologies like Vycross or Hylacross.

These fillers restore volume, smooth wrinkles/folds (e.g., nasolabial folds), enhance lips, contour cheeks/chin/jawline, and improve under-eye hollows or temples. Results are immediate because the gel adds instant volume and attracts water for a natural plumping effect. Many formulations include lidocaine for comfort during injection.

They are temporary and biodegradable, eventually broken down by the body.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect?

Discomfort is generally mild and well-tolerated for most patients:

    • Topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand (15–30 minutes).
    • Juvederm products contain lidocaine, which numbs as it's injected.
    • Most describe it as a quick pinch, pressure, or mild sting (like a bee sting), lasting seconds per injection site. Lips and under-eyes are more sensitive.
    • The entire procedure (15–30+ minutes) feels manageable; many rate it as minimal pain.

Post-injection tenderness, swelling, or bruising can occur but is usually short-lived. Ice and over-the-counter pain relief (acetaminophen) help.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol like?

Downtime is minimal — most people resume normal activities the same day or next day, with social downtime of 1–3 days for visible swelling/bruising.

    Typical protocol:

    • First 24 hours: Avoid touching/rubbing the area, strenuous exercise, alcohol, and blood thinners (if approved by your provider). Apply cold compresses intermittently to reduce swelling.
    • Days 1–3: Swelling and bruising peak, then improve. Gentle cleansing; avoid makeup on injection sites initially.
    • First week: No saunas, hot tubs, intense heat/sun exposure, or harsh skincare. Sleep with head elevated.
    • Ongoing: Use broad-spectrum SPF, stay hydrated, and follow up as needed. Full settling of results takes 1–2 weeks.

Side effects (redness, swelling, firmness, lumps, bruising) are usually mild and resolve in days to 2 weeks.

  • Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Good candidates are generally healthy adults (over 21) seeking to address:

    • Volume loss (cheeks, temples, chin)
    • Moderate to severe wrinkles/folds
    • Lip enhancement or perioral lines
    • Jawline definition or under-eye hollows

They should have realistic expectations, good overall health, and no active skin infections.

    Not ideal if:

    • History of severe allergies/anaphylaxis, allergies to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins.
    • Active infections, certain autoimmune conditions, or bleeding disorders.
    • Pregnant/breastfeeding.
    • Unrealistic expectations or unwillingness to follow aftercare.
  • What is the cost of this treatment?

Costs vary by location (the Richmond, VA area may be moderate), provider expertise, product type, and number of syringes needed. US averages (per 1 mL syringe):

    • Typically, $599 /syringe for most products (e.g., Ultra, Volbella).
    • Typically, $699 /syringe for (e.g., Voluma, Volux).
    • Typical session: 1–3+ syringes, so cost depends on the needs of the area treated.
  • How long do I expect results to last?

Results appear immediately and improve as swelling subsides (full effect in 1–2 weeks). Duration varies by product, area, metabolism, lifestyle, and amount used:

    • Lips (e.g., Volbella/Ultra): 6–12 months.
    • Nasolabial folds/smile lines (Vollure/Ultra Plus): 12–18 months.
    • Cheeks/chin/jawline (Voluma/Volux): Up to 18–24 months with optimal treatment.

Results are not permanent; gradual breakdown occurs. Many maintain with touch-ups every 6–18 months.

BOTOX

  • What is BOTOX?

BOTOX is the original and most studied botulinum toxin type A product. It blocks nerve signals to muscles, preventing contractions that cause expression lines. FDA-approved for:

    • Moderate to severe glabellar lines (frown lines between eyebrows)
    • Crow’s feet (lateral canthal lines)
    • Forehead lines
    • Platysma bands (neck bands) in adults

It is commonly used off-label for other areas like bunny lines, lip flip, jaw slimming (masseter), and gummy smile. Results are temporary and preventive—regular use can soften lines over time.

  • What level of discomfort can I expect with BOTOX aesthetic therapies?

Discomfort is minimal for most people — often rated 1-2 out of 10.

    • The needle is very fine, and injections feel like quick pinches, tiny stings, or mosquito bites that last seconds per site.
    • The full procedure takes 10–15 minutes.
    • Topical numbing cream can be used if desired, though many skip it.
    • Sensitive areas (e.g., around lips or masseter) may feel slightly more noticeable (up to 3-4/10).

Post-injection, mild tenderness or a headache can occur but is usually short-lived. Most patients find it highly tolerable.

  • What is the post-treatment downtime and protocol like?

Downtime is very minimal — often called a “lunchtime procedure.” Most people return to normal activities immediately, with possible mild redness or swelling resolving in hours.

    Key aftercare protocol:

    • First 4 hours: Stay upright (no lying down); avoid bending over.
    • First 24 hours: Do not rub, massage, or touch treated areas; avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas/hot tubs, and blood-thinning supplements (if approved by provider).
    • First few days: Gentle skincare; avoid facials or heavy pressure on the face. Use sunscreen.
    • Bruising (if any) typically fades in a few days.

Results start appearing in 3–7 days, with full effects in 10–14 days. Follow your injector’s specific instructions.

  • Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

Good candidates are generally healthy adults (18+) with dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movement and realistic expectations.

    Ideal for:

    • Preventing or softening forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet.
    • Jaw slimming, neck bands, or other aesthetic/functional concerns.
    • Those in good health without contraindications.

    Not ideal if:

    • Pregnant or breastfeeding.
    • History of allergy to botulinum toxin or ingredients.
    • Neuromuscular disorders (e.g., myasthenia gravis, ALS, Lambert-Eaton).
    • Active infection at injection sites.
    • Certain medications or unrealistic expectations.
  • What is the cost of this treatment?

    • $12 per unit for members; packages and occasional specials available.
    • Typical session: $300–$800+ (e.g., forehead + frown + crow’s feet often uses 30–60 units).

Maintenance every 3–4 months adds up—ask about the Allē rewards program for savings.

  • How long do I expect results to last?

Results typically last 3–4 months, though some see 2–6 months depending on factors like:

    • Dose, area treated, metabolism, muscle strength, and lifestyle.
    • First-time users may notice shorter duration initially; consistent treatments often extend results.

Full effects peak around 1–2 weeks. Maintenance every 3–4 months keeps lines smoother over time.
